World Map

Bloomfield Village is on the east side of the map, the Forest of Echoes sits to its west, Tidewind is a coastal village to the southwest, and the Desert fills the northwest corner.

Open the World Map tab in Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea to see where you are, which regions have names, and where the animals, seeds and foraged items you have already found are.

Where are the main regions on the Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea map?

Zoom out on the World Map to see four region labels: Bloomfield on the east, Forest in the north-centre, Tidewind in the southwest and Desert in the northwest. Areas you have not visited yet stay dark, so the map fills in as you explore.

What are the place names around Bloomfield and Tidewind?

Zoom in and the map labels smaller places. Around Bloomfield you will see Wolf Hill, Spirit Tree of Spring and Bloomfield Plains; to the west are Harvest Goddess Glade and Forest of Echoes East Area; in the southwest, Tidewind Coast and Tidewind Village; and to the south, Jade Plateau.

Wolf Hill is on the southwest side of Bloomfield Village, next to the Spirit Tree of Spring. Villagers warn that going there without permission is reckless, so leave it until a quest sends you.

How do you get to Tidewind in Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea?

Tidewind is a fishing village on the far side of the plains from Bloomfield, reached by riding along the coast. A villager, William, describes it as a fishing hamlet on the other side of the plains that he used to ride to on his horse.

Early on, the bridge toward Tidewind needs repairing. You can still get there through the underground cave system, so look for a cave entrance on the map if the bridge is blocked.

Which map features help you find things?

The map shows your current position and records animals and seed types you have already seen, so you can use it to find them again. Use Item Search to look for foraged items such as mushrooms and apples. A horse you have pet before can also be found again through the map.

The bottom of the map screen lists the controls: Current Location to jump to where you are, Toggle Display Items to show or hide item markers, Enlarge/Reduce to zoom, Item Search, Place Marker and Close.

How do you fast travel on the map?

Some statues reveal the map and let you warp between them. Once you have restored part of the Harvest Goddess's power in the early story, finding another statue in the wild unlocks teleportation, and a Warp Statues option then appears on the map screen.

Can you go into the Desert and cold regions early?

Not comfortably. A player who rode into the Desert early found it too hot, and the cold region too cold, so they turned back and said they needed items to deal with the temperature. Plan to return once you have gear that helps.

Remote islands are a separate case: you find them by collecting nautical charts, and the charts point you to each island's location.
